Specialty Coffee In Berlin Mitte Since 2012
/A little piece of Oslo in Mitte
In the heart of Berlin-Mitte, Oslo Kaffebar has been serving specialty coffee since 2012. Founder Kristian Moldskred wanted to bring a small piece of Norwegian coffee culture to Berlin. Naturally, Norwegian cinnamon buns and black filter coffee were on the menu from the very beginning.
Welcome to Oslo Kaffebar
Bags of coffee beans from renowned Norwegian roasters such as Tim Wendelboe and Solberg & Hansen filled the shelves, and Kristian himself stood behind the three-group espresso machine, pulling shots and slowly shaping the café into the local meeting place it is today.
Over the years, Oslo Kaffebar has experienced both ups and downs. Through it all, our loyal customers and neighbourhood friends have supported us every step of the way. From the time our espresso machine was stolen, to broken dishwashers and failing cash registers, from freezing winters to scorching summer days, and not least during the pandemic, when only one customer was legally allowed inside at a time, the community stood with us.
Many of our regular guests have been visiting since the early days in 2012. Some stop by for their morning filter coffee before work. Others come in the afternoon for a cappuccino and conversation. Over time, faces become familiar, orders become known, and small routines turn into meaningful rituals.
We are deeply grateful for everyone who visits us, whether from just around the corner or from across the city. Thank you for making Oslo Kaffebar the meeting place and creative hub it is today.
Enjoy a cortado and a croissant
